When to choose for relationship coaching?

Do you, as a couple, regularly face the same challenges or patterns in your love life? Do you want to break these patterns together and get practical tools to deal with them in a more sustainable way? The biggest part of the relationship coaching is about developing your self-awareness as a couple. During a relationship coaching trajectory you will become more aware of what is truly important to you in your love life and in which pitfalls you easily step into, your reflex behaviours. When you are more aware of your dreams, values, love languages and reflex behaviours it becomes easier to start choosing consciously, to choose for ‘making love’ instead of breaking it.

Way of working

Depending on the status of your relationship a relationship coaching trajectory takes around 4 – 10 sessions, excluding the intake. The coaching takes place in a private room at ’Thuis aan de Amstel’ in Amsterdam or can be done online via Google Meet or Teams. We will work according to the structure outlined below:

  • Intake: The goal of this session is to get to know each other and to establish your ‘make love’ goal(s) for the coaching, which involves some pre-work. Based on the intake I can give you an estimation of how many coaching sessions we need.
  • Coach 5 approach: Every relationship coaching session builds up in a structured 5-step approach. Starting with your successes and your latest trials as a couple, the things you consciously did differently. Closing the session with actions, what you will be doing to ‘make love’ (and not ‘break love’) between now and next time we meet. Most things happen on your path in between the sessions.
  • Results: Better mutual understanding, more fun, less hassle and very practical tools to keep your love relationship sustainable in the long run.
  • Confidentiality: I am a registered and accredited Senior Practitioner Coach at the NOBCO (Foundation Dutch Order of Professional Coaches) and work according to their Global Code of Ethics.

I work very closely together with De Relatiecoach.
